Frederick D. Cason, MD, FACS has joined the faculty of the Department of Surgery at Morehouse School of Medicine as Vice Chairman and Chief of a new Division of Surgical Education. He will assume the duties of the Surgical Residency Program Director effective March 1.

Orlando Kirton, M.D. – Master of Critical Care Medicine – Society of Critical Care Medicine Board of Managers, Chair, Critical Care Committee, The American Association for the Surgery of Trauma.

Terry Fullum, M.D. – Chief of General Surgery (Howard); President-Elect DC Chapter of American College of Surgeons.

Selwyn M. Vickers, M.D., has been named the next senior vice president for Medicine and dean of the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) School of Medicine. Vickers, a member of the prestigious Institute of Medicine of the National Academy of Sciences, is a world-renowned surgeon, pancreatic cancer researcher, pioneer in health disparities research and a native of Alabama.
