IT’S A CELLEBRATION!

HENRIETTA LACKS

On August 1, 2020, The Lacks Family announced a yearlong CELLebration to honor Henrietta Lacks’ 100th birthday. Henrietta’s HeLa cells, are responsible for some of the greatest scientific advancements of the last century and continue to benefit all of humanity. CELLebrate Henrietta Lacks is a family lead initiative to amplify voices of the Lacks family. Our mission is to preserve our grandmother’s legacy by educating future generations on the impact of her immortal HeLa cells while promoting health equity and social justice.
