Manuscripts
Authors of papers or posters may submit a complete manuscript to the Publications Committee at the Society of Black Academic Surgeons Annual Scientific Sessions in Durham, NC, April 29, 2010. Manuscripts will be peer-reviewed for publication in the American Journal of Surgery (Feb 2011). Edits to the manuscript after submission to the Publication Committee are permitted. The manuscript MUST include the email address of the corresponding author and must conform to the Guide for Authors of the American Journal of Surgery (http://www.elsevier.com/wps/find/journaldescription.cws_home/525051/authorinstructions).
Authors will receive an invitation to submit their completed manuscript electronically to the American Journal of Surgery. The due date for electronic submission is June 28, 2010. Please do not submit your manuscript UNTIL the formal invitation from the American Journal of Surgery is sent to you via email. If you do not include an email address for the corresponding author, your manuscript will not be considered for review. Case reports will not be accepted.
Submission of manuscripts is not required, but is encouraged.
